The Venue

Canadian Museum of History

The Ottawa River on one side. The Canadian Museum of History on the other. In between, an open-air festival that brings together a community of electronic music lovers year after year. Here, the setting elevates everything else.

General Info

When is the festival?
From September 11 to 13, 2026, Riverside Festival will run from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The event is back at the stunning Canadian Museum of History site, located at 100
Laurier Street in Gatineau! Bordered by the Ottawa River, Parliament Hill, and several parks, it’s one of the most central urban sites in the country! 😍

The festival site will be open from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday and from 3:00 PM to
11:00 PM on Saturday & Sunday. We recommend arriving early to avoid lines and make the most of your time on site!

Rain or shine, the party goes on! Be sure to check the weather before heading to the site and dress accordingly. ☔

Riverside is open to people 16 years and older.

The legal drinking age in Québec is 18. If you plan to consume alcohol on site, please have two (2) valid pieces of ID with you.

The festival site will be open from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday and from 3:00 PM to
11:00 PM on Saturday & Sunday.

No cash will be accepted. Only credit and debit cards will be valid payment methods throughout the site.

Festival Services

Yes, water will be flowing all weekend at Riverside Festival. Your entry to the site allows you to bring one (1) empty reusable plastic bottle so you can fill it up afterward.

Riverside aims to offer a variety of food options. From poutine to vegan and gluten-free dishes, several food trucks will be on site all weekend long.

As with all other festivals, only small bags and purses will be allowed.

All bags will be searched.

Yes! A paid coat check will be available at the festival entrance.

Only snacks such as granola bars and reusable plastic water bottles will be permitted on site.

Security

For safety reasons, we ask that festivalgoers remain on site after their pass has been
scanned. Riverside Festival reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who leaves the site after having already accessed it the same night.

Yes. There will be police officers and paramedics on site, as well as a designated first aid tent.

Riverside Festival is committed to providing a positive experience for everyone. To improve accessibility, a dedicated area is available for people with reduced mobility and
one companion.

For the purchase of tickets for people with reduced mobility, please contact us at: info@festivalriverside.ca

All cannabis products brought onto the festival site must be in sealed packaging from the SQDC or any other government source and must have been purchased legally in Canada. Any cannabis products not in compliance with the law will not be accepted or permitted on site.

An individual may possess a maximum of 30 grams, as per the legal limit. No cannabis
edibles will be allowed on site.

Possession of cannabis is permitted only for individuals aged 21 and over.

Security checks are a condition of entry, and you may be searched anywhere on the site at any time. Without liability to you, we have the right to confiscate any object that could
reasonably be considered a weapon (or used as a weapon) or could cause danger, offense, or disruption of any kind. Anyone suspected of carrying illegal items or engaging in illegal activity may be turned over to the police, denied entry, or removed from the site without a refund.

Free parking is available on several nearby streets. The Canadian Museum of History’s indoor parking costs $18 per day. We strongly recommend taking the bus, biking, using a scooter, or walking. The earlier you arrive, the easier it is to find a spot. And of course, if you consume alcohol, don’t drive.

Lost items can be retrieved at the booth near the festival’s main entrance.

The festival encourages active transportation! Moving before you party is always good for your health!
